I watched this the other night and it was actually good, one of the best Lovecraft movies. Cage is fine, and the rest of the cast are good as well. The original story took place over months and was a brilliant piece of slow, creeping dread literature, but this adaptation compresses events to a few days, which makes it scarier and works better as a film. This movie showcases Richard Stanley's directing prowess which will hopefully open doorways for him to making more films like this. This is his first feature film in 25 years! It was worth the wait. br> The film is solid, with all the right pieces coming together to create a cohesive story that is quintessentially Lovecraft. The cast is great with all quality performances. The look of the film is fantastic and creates a surreal, thick "atmosfear"

Interesting fact: The Colour Out of Space was H.P Lovecrafts personal favourite story he wrote as well as his choice to use the British spelling for Colour instead of the US Spelling of 'Color. This looks so totally third class even the effects seem to be from 2005 and I don't feel nicholas Cage was a good choice for this. This looks great - looking forward to seeing it. H.P. Lovecraft.
